Crime on the rise in Attock

Sudden increase in cases of robberies at gun point has spread sense of fear and insecurity among the residents of Attock and surrounding areas.
This increase in crime rate in this peaceful city is a question mark over the performance of police. According to details, during the last few days different individuals have been deprived of automobiles, cash, cell phones and jewellery.
Dr Jamal Akbar r/o Darus Salam colony was deprived of his car, cell phone and other valuables at gun point when he was present in his home with his family. Waqar Hussain r/o Shakardara was deprived of his motorbike when he parked it outside his office. Mukhtar r/o Basal was deprived of his bike when he parked it outside Pilot School Mosque. Javed Iqbal found his bike missing when he parked it outside the house of a friend. A few days ago a Railways employee r/o Shakardara was deprived of his bike at gun point when he was going to railway station. Similarly Khawaja Shahid of Amir Hamza Colony was deprived of Rs 25,000 and eight-tola gold ornaments at gun point when he along with his family was present at his home. The residents told The Nation that police are claiming increase in patrolling and taking other measures but all this seem lip service. They demanded of police to launch special campaign against anti-social elements.
