Eid celebrated in full swing in Attock , Punjab Pakistan

Attock city was brimming with religious fervour on the year’s most festive day on Friday as thousands of residents marked Eidul Fitr celebrations.

After the Eid prayers on Friday, the city’s parks and public eateries were filled with dressed up children with their families for the entire Eid weekend. The pleasant weather further lifted people’s spirits although the lack of public transport forced many to hire private vehicles and rickshaws which was an added burden on their pockets.

Jinnah Park in Attock Cantt and Railway Park, along with the banks of the Indus River were packed with families and young boys and girls were particularly happy as schools would be reopening on August 16. At the same time, there were numerous complaints over the lack of basic amenities at the park and the exorbitant rates of edibles at public and private eateries.

Residents were of the view that prices of food items at public parks should be monitored as items were being sold at double their market prices and the entry fee should be waived off at special holidays.
